Jenny Runs the Books, a virtual freelance business support service was built from a lifelong love of numbers, organization, and making complex systems easier to understand. Officially launching as Jenny Runs the Books, LLC in July 2026.
Founded by Jenny Peloquin, formerly Vongxay. Recently married and a Mom of two, Jenny Peloquin is a tax professional with over 15 years of hands-on experience, this business is the natural evolution of a career rooted in financial accuracy, process improvement, and community service. Jenny’s journey began long before launching her virtual freelance practice—working behind the scenes in accounting, operations, and tax preparation roles that demanded precision, compliance, and trust.
Over the years, Jenny has prepared and reviewed hundreds of tax returns through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, serving as a Greeter, Intake Specialist, Tax Preparer, Quality Reviewer, Site Coordinator, Program Coordinator, and ultimately a VITA Program Manager. In these roles, she not only prepared returns but trained volunteers, managed workflows, ensured IRS compliance, and led outreach and education efforts across Connecticut and nationwide. This experience shaped her belief that financial literacy and access to clear information are powerful tools for stability and growth.
Alongside tax work, Jenny built a strong foundation in bookkeeping and financial operations—supporting accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, vendor management, inventory control, and ERP systems in corporate environments. Her work required strong systems thinking, documentation, and process-driven organization—skills that now directly benefit her clients.
As her career progressed, Jenny found herself increasingly drawn to helping individuals and small businesses not just file taxes, but understand their numbers, stay organized year-round, and build sustainable systems. With experience in CRM platforms, client communications, marketing coordination, and digital organization, she recognized a gap: many small businesses need support that blends bookkeeping, tax knowledge, and practical marketing—not siloed services.
Jenny Runs the Books was created to meet that need.
Today, Jenny offers virtual bookkeeping, tax services, and marketing support designed for individuals and small businesses who want clarity, confidence, and control. Her approach is personal, process-driven, and education-focused—helping clients feel informed rather than overwhelmed. Every service is grounded in real-world experience, compliance knowledge, and a genuine commitment to simplifying the financial side of life and business.
At its core, Jenny Runs the Books is about more than numbers—it’s about empowerment, transparency, and building systems that support long-term success.
